If you are a veteran struggling with depression, addiction or stress you are not alone.
Don't wait. Get the Help that You Need.
War does not end when our troops come home.
The experience of elder generations of veterans has shown that for many, leaving the war-zone marks the beginning of a new battle, one to retain life and liberty against the mental and emotional costs of war.
| A recent study of homebound veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom demonstrated that 30% of America’s over one million new veterans suffer from combat related mental health issues, and 15% will receive a diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD). |

Getting Help
"Most of us have received a life-time of messages which suggest that it is not okay to need help or to ask for help.... As a result, finding the courage to expose our need and to ask for help can be a difficult process." -Dale & Juanita Ryan
Millions of people struggle with depression, addiction or guilt. Many are able to address these issues in a meaningful way on the road to recovery.
Few, if any, can do it alone–and no one should have to.
Fortunately, there are many resources available. Below, we attempt to outline a few of your options.
Support Our Troops
The physical, mental and spiritual challenges many veterans face are daunting. But no one should struggle alone.
| If you are a veteran or ordinary civilian that wants to help give our veterans the support that they deserve, please consider donating your time or resources to one of the many organizations throughout the United States working to serve veterans and active service members. |
You can find a list of such organizations: here
You can also find a list of groups providing care packages and other services for active duty members here.
We also encourage you also to stay informed about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a condition which is estimated to affect 1 out of every 4 veterans.
To support our troops stay informed and stay involved.
