Great introduction to finding a recovery-oriented church from NACR. "Because recovery is a spiritual journey, it will result in spiritual changes as well as emotional and physical ones. That is one reason, among many, why having a supportive faith community during recovery can be extremely important. In addition to the resources of a therapist and/or a support group, having a safe community of people with whom to worship and learn can be a big help."

The Recovery Church (North Carolina)

The Recovery Church was founded in Jan. 1994 in Charlotte, NC. primarily for the purpose of helping "Recovering Persons" bridge the gap between "Recovery" and "Church Life", making it possible for both to be important parts of their ongoing "Spiritual Walk." We believe that the Bible is both "The Word of God" and the Source from which the principles of The Twelve Steps were taken.

We also believe that God will "meet you where you are, spiritually;" will accept you and love you unconditionally; and is in the process of leading us all to become truly Happy, Joyous and Free through His Amazing Grace.
